How long does a typical custom garment take to make?
From your first consultation to the final fitting, most pieces take four to six weeks. Wedding dresses and complex evening gowns may need a bit longer — we'll give you a clear timeline at your appointment.
What if I don't know exactly what I want?
That's common and completely fine. Our consultation is a conversation — we'll help you choose fabrics, silhouettes, and details that match the occasion and your personal style. No pressure, just guidance.
How many fittings will I need?
Most garments require two fittings. The first for the pattern and structure, then a final fitting to refine the hem, waist, and sleeves. Complex pieces may need a third fitting. We work around your schedule.
Can I bring my own fabric or reference images?
Absolutely. Many clients bring fabric swatches, photos, or sketches. It helps us understand what you're envisioning. We also offer an exclusive collection of fabrics sourced from European and American mills.
What is the price range for a bespoke garment?
It depends on the design, fabric, and level of detail. Professional suits start around $2,000, evening gowns range from $3,000 to $8,000, and wedding dresses begin at $4,500. We'll provide a detailed quote after our consultation.
Do you offer virtual consultations for out-of-town clients?
Yes. If you're unable to visit our Manhattan atelier, we can arrange a video consultation. For clients who can travel, we recommend an in-person visit for the first fitting to ensure the pattern is precise.
