FIRST CONSULTATION

How does a private fitting work?

You arrive at our Manhattan atelier for a one-on-one session. We talk through the occasion, your preferences, and the fabric. Then we take your measurements and begin building a pattern made for you.

CLIENT STORIES

We work with clients who value the process

Not everyone needs a custom wardrobe. But for those who do, the fitting becomes part of the story — and the result speaks for itself.

Annelis didn't just make a dress. She listened to what I wanted, asked the right questions, and created something that felt like it had always been mine.

Attorney, New York

I came in for a wedding dress and left with a relationship. The fittings were unhurried. The fabric choices were thoughtful. It was everything a bridal appointment should be.

What I appreciate most is the honesty. Annelis told me what would work and what wouldn't. No upselling. Just good design and excellent construction.

FAQ

Your consultation, answered

Everything you need to know before your private appointment at our Manhattan atelier.

What happens during the first consultation?

We sit down and discuss the occasion, your preferred silhouette, and fabric direction. You are welcome to bring inspiration images or swatches. From there, we take initial measurements and outline a plan for the piece.

How long does a consultation typically run?

Plan for about an hour. For a wedding dress or a complex evening gown, the first session may run a bit longer so we can fully explore the design and fabric options together.

Do I need to bring anything to the appointment?

Bring any reference photos, fabric samples, or sketches you have in mind. If you are unsure, just come as you are. Our studio has a curated collection of fabrics and trims to explore.

What is the typical timeline for a custom piece?

Most custom garments require two to three fittings over the course of four to eight weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and the fabric availability. Rush orders may be accommodated depending on the schedule.

How do I book a consultation?

You can use the booking form on this page or email us directly at dwm.xinxin@gmail.com. We will confirm your preferred date and time within one business day.

What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

We understand plans shift. Just reach out to us as soon as possible — preferably 24 hours in advance — and we will find a new time that works for you.

Still have questions?

Reach out and we will answer any remaining questions about your bespoke appointment.
